Cookie Policy
Effective date: April 13, 2026
Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how AMVRIT uses cookies, local storage, SDK identifiers, and similar technologies across Bodha's website ( bodha.app) and mobile app surfaces. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The Bodha mobile app (iOS and Android) uses local device storage and anonymous SDK identifiers rather than browser cookies. The technologies described below apply to both app and web surfaces where relevant.
Technologies we use
- Strictly necessary: Local storage and device-level identifiers required for core app functionality — specifically, maintaining your streak, saved verses, badges, challenge progress, and privacy consent choices. These cannot be disabled without breaking the app. In the app, this includes your randomly generated device UUID stored in iOS/Android secure local storage.
- Functional: Technologies that remember non-essential preferences such as your notification time setting, selected language, and Premium entitlement status across sessions.
- Analytics and performance: Anonymous usage events sent to PostHog to measure engagement, identify content gaps, and improve app quality. These events are associated only with your anonymous device identifier — never with your name or personal identity. These are optional in jurisdictions where consent is required by law.
- Payment and subscription: RevenueCat SDK identifiers used to verify your subscription status and unlock Premium features. These are necessary for processing purchases and are not used for advertising.
Legal basis and consent
Strictly necessary and payment technologies are used on the basis of legitimate interests and contract performance to operate and secure the Services. Optional analytics technologies are used only with your consent in jurisdictions where consent is required by law (including the EU/EEA and UK). You may withdraw analytics consent at any time through the consent manager below.
Third-party technologies
Approved providers (PostHog for analytics, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Supabase for content delivery) may process limited technical and usage data on our behalf. All providers are required by contract to process data only for authorised purposes and in compliance with applicable privacy law. None of these providers use your data for their own advertising purposes.
Bodha does not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or any technologies associated with behavioural advertising.
Retention periods
Strictly necessary local storage persists until you uninstall the app or clear app data. Optional analytics events are retained by PostHog for up to 24 months. Payment and subscription identifiers are retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for support and legal purposes.
How to manage your choices
- Use the consent manager below to grant, deny, or withdraw optional analytics consent at any time.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies on the Bodha website.
- On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to manage app tracking permissions device-wide.
- On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads to manage advertising ID settings.
Disabling strictly necessary storage will prevent core app features from working correctly, including streak tracking and saved verse history.
Do Not Track and global preference signals
We honour legally required opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) where technically supported and apply choices in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. The effective date above indicates the most current version.
